An Apartment in the Heart of Paris
The Apartment
On the rue de Grenelle, steps from the boulevard Saint-Germain and the Eiffel Tower, is a hidden jewel brimming with light and Parisian chic. This privately owned 550 sq ft apartment is an art lover’s dream, with windows that face the Fontaine des Quatre-Saisons created in 1745.
“There are only two places in the world where we can live happy: at home and in Paris.”
- Ernest Hemingway
Professionally decorated, the apartment has all the creature comforts and stunning views of the Fontaine des Quatre-Saisons created in 1745. At the entrance of the second floor apartment is a well-equipped kitchen (with oven, refrigerator, and combination washer/dryer) facing a small sitting area with a pull out bed. From there, two separate doorways lead you into the rest of the apartment. The right doorway leads you to a full bathroom, with a European bath and shower combination, and a large bedroom with a wall of built-in cabinets and a king-size bed. The left doorway goes to the unit’s cozy living room and dining area, with a new Italian sofa bed that sleeps two.
The Neighborhood
“A walk about Paris will provide lessons in history, beauty, and in the point of life.”
- Thomas Jefferson
Located in the 7th arrondissement, the apartment is within a short walk or Métro ride from some of the most exciting museums, restaurants, gardens, and monuments in Paris. Situated on the rue de Grenelle, one of Paris’ most historic streets, the apartment also is steps away from florists, food merchants, sommeliers, and specialty shops to fulfill every possible desire.
The Art
“There is but one Paris and however hard living may be here…the French air clears up the brain and does one good.”
-Vincent van Gogh
Owned by art lovers, the apartment features an eclectic mix of modern paintings and sketches. When we purchased the apartment, the walls were bare. Loving art, we headed to the Marché Aux Puces. We love the colorful paintings we discovered and hope you will, too.
